Regional Tech Booster

Delivering locally.

Connecting nationally.

The Regional Tech Booster is a DSIT-funded pilot programme delivered by the UK Tech Cluster Group and its members. Running until March 2026, it aims to demonstrate the impact of regionally led, nationally connected support for tech ecosystems across the UK.

It recognises that the nations and regions already play a vital role in the UK tech economy – and that with targeted support, they can unlock significantly more growth, innovation, and investment.

Key Activities:

The Booster will deliver activity across five workstreams:

  • Best Practice Forum and Regional Ecosystem Workshops
Sharing insight and learning across clusters to improve delivery, align activity, and strengthen impact.

  • Catalyst Pilots
Funding and showcasing local interventions that trial new delivery methods or reach new audiences.
Call for pilots opening July 21.

  • Investment Corridors
Strengthening links between investors and regional clusters to improve investment mobility.
Launch regions and dates to be announced shortly.

  • National Ecosystem Conference
A flagship gathering for cluster organisations, investors, founders and policymakers.
    Scheduled for September 2025.

  • Policy, Insight and Evidence Base
Capturing real-world data, insight and impact from across the programme to inform future policy and support.

Local Impact, National Reach

This is a proof-of-concept programme. The aim is to show that place-based delivery – designed and led locally – can reach further and have greater impact when connected nationally.
